Turnstar Holdings has announced the appointment of Gaone Macholo as a non-executive director, effective 28 July 2025.
Macholo currently serves as director of the Directorate of Public Service Management and has more than 34 years of leadership experience spanning both the public and private sectors. Her career has largely focused on human resources and organisational leadership.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Botswana. Her professional track record includes high-ranking roles at Jwaneng Mine (Debswana), BCL Limited, First National Bank of Botswana, and the Botswana Meat Commission (BMC). Between 2020 and 2022, she also led GM Human Capital Consultancy, advising on human capital development and governance.
Beyond executive roles, Ms. Macholo has also made her mark as a board member across several key institutions. She has served on the boards of Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) and G4S, where she also served as Chairperson.
Her appointment is expected to strengthen the company’s strategic leadership and reinforce its commitment to governance and people development.
Turnstar also announced the retirement of Solomon Mantswe as a non-executive director.
