Letlole La Rona has appointed Mooketsi Maphane as Chairperson of its Board of Directors, formalising a leadership role he has held on an interim basis since December last year.
The Botswana Stock Exchange-listed property company announced that Maphane’s appointment took effect on 6 March 2026. He joined the board in December 2021 as an independent non-executive director and currently chairs the company’s Nominations and Remuneration Committee.
The company said Maphane provided “steady leadership and strategic oversight” during his tenure as interim chairperson, which began on 18 December 2025.
In addition to the chairperson appointment, the board named Boikanyo Kgosidintsi as Deputy Chairperson, also effective 6 March.
Maphane brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience spanning management consulting, organisational development, fast-moving consumer goods, and financial services. He is the founder and managing consultant of MYHRSPACE, an HR technology and advisory firm that focuses on data-driven workforce performance and behavioural science solutions.
Over his career, he has held senior executive roles across both the private and public sectors locally and internationally. Maphane is also a registered industrial psychologist with the Botswana Health Professions Council and has completed advanced executive training in management, insurance and financial advisory practice.
Kgosidintsi, who joined the board in June 2023 as an independent non-executive director, currently chairs Letlole La Rona’s Investment Committee and serves on the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
A lawyer by training, he brings more than 25 years of regional and domestic experience in finance and banking. Kgosidintsi is also chairperson of the Botswana Bond Market Association and a member of the Institute of Directors South Africa.
Before retiring from corporate leadership roles, he served as CEO of a domestic life insurance company, group head of investor relations at a pan-African microfinance firm, and vice president in investment banking in Johannesburg. He also currently serves as an independent non-executive director at Old Mutual Life Insurance Company Botswana.
