The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) has announced the retirement of its Acting Chief Executive Officer, Sekgele Ramahobo, bringing to a close a career spanning more than 24 years at the state-owned housing provider.
Ramahobo's final day at the corporation is Friday, June 19, according to a statement released by BHC. The corporation did not indicate whether a substantive chief executive has been identified, but confirmed that an interim leadership structure has been put in place to ensure continuity of operations.
Professor Selinah Busang, who currently serves as Chief Operations Officer, has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. The appointment is intended to provide stability while the corporation navigates the leadership transition.
In its statement, BHC thanked Ramahobo for his dedication, loyalty and contribution during his more than two decades with the organisation, wishing him success in his future endeavours.
The corporation said it remains committed to maintaining operational excellence and continuing to deliver value to stakeholders during the transition period.
BHC has been undergoing a tumultuous period in management over the last few months, with former CEO Pascaline Sefawe resigning in December and the board being dissolved by the minister this month.
