Anton Tech Wins Creative Business Cup, Headed To Denmark for Finals

Local agritech startup Anton Tech has been announced as the national winner of the Creative Business Cup and will be headed to Copenhagen, Denmark, for the global finals on June 5th.

Anton Tech's AI-driven agritech solution can detect pests, predict soil health, and offer treatment recommendations, empowering farmers with data-driven insights.

Founded by Tlamelo MakatiTumo Kgosiyame and Kesego Mokgosi, Anton Tech's flagship product is a deep learning model that detects pests and diseases in both crops and animals and gives you a near-instant response on the name of the disease, the appropriate interventions to apply and where to get any supplies you might need. All this works through Whatsapp Messenger.

The solution works with satellite data for Geospatial mapping, hyperspectral image carbon content prediction and is, therefore, able to act as a transboundary disease alert system, suggest the nearest treatment, provide location-based weather reports and landcover mapping. There is also an analytics dashboard that collects verified data that researchers and even the government can use to make data-driven decisions

Winners of the CBC Global Finals will receive invaluable support to help their startups grow and access new markets, including business services, programs, mentoring, and access to finance provided by our partners, investors, and top mentors. Additionally, the winner will gain entry into the exclusive Creative Business Investors program, which offers one year of support in connecting with investors and potential partners.
