Letshego Sponsors "The Eye" To The Tune of P3 Million

Letshego Botswana has entered a strategic partnership with the Department of Broadcasting Services (DBS) and Horizon Media. The trifecta agreement sees a two-pronged arrangement in which Letshego sponsored Botswana Television’s (Btv) “The Eye” programme for P3 million, the first sponsorship deal of this kind at Btv.

Over the year, Letshego Botswana will develop and record 52 episodes of The Eye which will be aired on Botswana Television News Channel’s evening prime time slot on a weekly basis. The second key driver of the partnership will see the introduction of the 26-episode LetsGo Financial Wellness series on Btv 1 to educate Batswana on financial literacy and money management, in line with Letshego Botswana’s desire to ensure financial education and solutions are accessible, inclusive, and practical.

Importantly, the partnership will also be featuring a financial literacy programme to enable more Batswana to grow financial knowledge and prudent ways to manage their finances and generate wealth for their families and communities,” said Kgotso Bannalotlhe,Letshego Botswana’s Chief Executive Officer.

The Eye is Botswana Television’s longest running current affairs programme, having run for 22 years on-air to date. Hosted by Omphile Sehurutshe, the programme covers political events and issues of national interest and economic growth sectors such as Housing, Healthcare, Education, Utilities, and more.
