Another day, another new Twitter (aka X) feature. This time, it looks like the ability to block people will be removed in the near future.
According to the platform's owner Elon Musk, the reason for the removal is that it makes no sense because there is already another feature, "mute", which achieves the same task as blocking.
"Block is going to be deleted as a “feature”, except for DMs," he tweeted.
Musk did not provide a timeline for the deprecation of the feature.
