Pan-African and Botswana-based microfinancier Letshego Africa has announced the appointment of Tshephang Loeto as a Non-Executive Director, effective August 22, 2025.
Loeto brings more than 16 years of financial services experience to the board, with a background spanning investment management, asset management, credit, risk, and compliance.
He currently serves as Chief Investment Officer at the Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund (BPOPF) and also sits on several corporate boards, including multinationals, while serving as Vice President of the Botswana Bond Market Association.
A graduate of the University of Botswana with a degree in Finance, Loeto has completed CFA Level 1, holds an IISA short-term insurance proficiency certificate, and has undergone John Maxwell leadership training. His appointment is expected to strengthen Letshego’s financial oversight and support the group’s strategic growth ambitions.
