Letlole La Rona Limited (LLR) has appointed corporate governance and regulatory compliance specialist Ella Kesego Pheko as its Head of Legal, Compliance and Company Secretary, effective October 7, 2026.
Pheko takes over the company secretary role from Wiseleadership (Pty) Ltd, which has served under a temporary contract since June 1, 2026.
Pheko brings more than 12 years of experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, board matters and risk management. She holds an LLB Honours degree from the University of Pretoria, as well as professional certifications in compliance and enterprise risk management.
Her professional background includes a previous role as Head of Legal and Board Secretary at Minet Botswana, where she provided legal and governance support to the organisation and its board.
At Minet, Pheko led corporate governance and regulatory compliance, advising the board and executive management on governance issues and ensuring statutory and regulatory obligations were met.
She also served as Minet Botswana’s key liaison with the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA), particularly on governance, anti-money laundering, compliance and regulatory reporting matters.
As Board Secretary, she supported board and committee processes, including coordinating board documentation, advising on governance requirements and ensuring follow-through on board decisions and actions.
LLR said Pheko’s experience includes developing governance frameworks and supporting boards and executive teams in making informed, sustainable decisions, with particular expertise in board advisory, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Her appointment adds a senior governance and compliance specialist to the property company’s leadership structure as LLR continues to oversee its corporate governance and regulatory obligations.
