G4S Botswana Finance Director Resigns

Boitumelo Molefe, Finance Director of G4S Botswana, resigned from her role on November 5th and will exit on December after serving her notice.

Molefe's resignation comes at a challenging time for the company, which is undergoing both operational and administrative challenges.

In February, the company's CEO, Mothusi Molokomme, tendered his resignation before rescinding it during his notice period.

In September, G4S Botswana published its FY 2024 and H1 2025 results on the same day, an unusual occurrence on the Botswana Stock Exchange.

This is because the company's FY 2024 results, which were supposed to be published by 31 March 2025, had to be delayed due to internal control deficiencies that have shaken shareholder confidence.

Other internal challenges included a staff restructuring exercise, coupled with key staff turnover, which negatively impacted the processing and collation of information.

The firm’s share price also fell sharply from P2.45 to P1.00 in early 2025, bringing its market capitalization close to its net asset value of P81 million, a development the Audit and Risk Committee said could trigger a potential impairment review.

The company say it will announce Molefe's replacement in due time.
