ABSA Bank Botswana has appointed Kudakwashe Mukushi as Finance Director and Executive Director, effective from 1 June 2025. The latter position is subject to shareholder approval.
Mukushi resigned from his role as CFO of BIHL in March, a position he had held since 2017.
He is a CFA Charterholder (CFA Institute United States of America), a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Accountants and Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a graduate of Harvard Business School's Senior Executive Program for Africa.
"On behalf of Management, Employees and Stakeholders of the Company, the Board welcomes Kudakwashe into this new role and is confident that his wealth of experience will inspire further delivery of the Company’s ambitions and resolve to provide shareholder value and contribute to the communities in which we operate," Absa told shareholders.
"The Board would also like to thank the Company’s Interim Finance Director, Leroy Klein, for his dedicated service over the last year, and look forward to his continued contribution as the Company’s Chief Risk Officer. "
